Ode to the 203rd Entry

The 60's were good and our times were fine
Of course we remembered we were marching in line
Down hill, up hill, behind a pipe band
To learn all the tricks of airplane land

Pneumatic, electrics, thing that go fizz
Hydraulics, the basics and making things wizz
We all went to school and played on the fields
And played on pitches still the best in the land
We learned living together, and how we all work,
Not the same but different, all with our own quirks
They molded us, preened us, made us their own
From rough shod school boomers,  to men almost grown
Into adults, leaders, followers and all
Hewn from raw young Brits with ambitions and gaul

They lured us away from our towns where we came
To where we are now, we should have no shame
In saying, we did see the sixties and we remembered us there
albeit in uniform and very short hair
So raise up your glasses  and salute the tree
For we are all proud of Entry, Two Hundred and Three
203
