ExpeditionTraining 1966​

​The expedition training was carried over a period of two weeks in May 1966. The training was carried out in mid Wales around Llangurig, Cymystwyth and Marteg Halt. Members of the Entry participated in survival skills training, team building exercises, waterborne activities and abseiling. The expedition ended with a Team hiking competition over the hills on a triangular course starting from Llangurig.  We took all our food and overnight tenting as we were on our own.  Day 1 was from Llangurig to Cwmystwyth. Day 2 was from Cwmystwyth to Marteg Halt and Day 3 was from Marteg to Llangurig. The winning team consisted of:
