203rd Entry News



June 2012 - To mark the passing out of the 79 apprentices of the 203rd Entry, the 45th Anniversary Reunion took place at Rhayader in mid-Wales between the 7th and the 10th June 2012. A total of 23 members and spouses enjoyed a superb social weekend despite the atrocious weather on Friday 8th June. We were delighted to welcome Jim Glass' widow Julie who attended the anniversary dinner which was held at the Elan Valley Hotel on the Saturday night.

16 Nov 2012 - The 46th Anniversary Reunion of our passing out from Halton will take place at Mike Cox's hotel Springfield House Hotel, Pilling, Lancashire PR3 6HL from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th May 2013​

7 Dec 2012  -  A visit to the BAE Systems military aircraft facility at Warton has been arranged during the 2013 Reunion. There will be an introduction with refreshments given by BAEs Military Liaison Officer (MLO) and then a tour of some of the engineering facilities. Depending on what is happening on the day we should be able to visit the Typhoon Final Assembly line, maybe a Flight Test Monitor room and a Flight Simulator. These are very much provisional and are not guaranteed as it is a normal working day. A group photo will be taken for posterity! There is a maximum of 20 people allowed and the visit will last about 2 1/2 hours. Tony requested that the visit occurs on Friday 17th May at 1300. If you are interested in attending I will need your full names, dob, confirmation of nationality, address including postcode. This to allow the MLO to gain security clearance.

18 Dec 2012 It is with great sadness that I have learnt of the passing today, the 18th December 2012, of Jackie Mitchell wife of Duncan after a long struggle against cancer.

22 May 2013 - 23 members and spouses enjoyed the 46th Anniversary of Graduation Reunion at Mike & Lynn Cox's hotel at Pilling. The visit to BAE Systems was enjoyed by all who attended. Looking forward to 2014 and Dublin???

Oct 2013 - George Nott, Sylvia Nott, Bill Simpson and Duncan Mitchell had an impromptu get together at the Ribble Pilot in Preston.

Sep 2015 - Contact has been established with Colin Tree. He is living in Canada but unfortunately is not well at the moment. He is not using e-mail or social media.

Jan 2021. It it is with the greatest sadness that I have to report the death of Bill Simpson from C19 complications.
